BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Mischa Barton, who on "The O.C." played a wealthy teenager in idyllic Orange County, got a dose of reality Tuesday when she was charged with four misdemeanors related to a drinking and driving arrest last year.

The former star of "The O.C." was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while having a 0.08 percent or higher blood alcohol level, driving without a valid license and possession of 28.5 grams or less of marijuana, according to court papers.

In a statement, Barton attorney Anthony V. Salerno said he was pleased his client was only charged with misdemeanors.

"The D.A.’s office is to be commended for treating this case the same as it would any other matter; Ms. Barton has received no special treatment," Salerno said.

Barton was arrested Dec. 27 in West Hollywood after sheriff’s deputies saw her car straddling two lanes of traffic and failing to signal for a turn.

Barton played Marissa Cooper on "The O.C." from 2003 to 2006, when her character died in a car crash. She also has appeared in several movies, including "The Sixth Sense" and the upcoming "Virgin Territory."

In May, Barton was hospitalized for two hours after an antibiotic she was taking interacted badly with alcohol.

Barton was scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday in Beverly Hills Superior Court.

Anderson seeks to annul 2-month marriage

LOS ANGELES - Court documents show that Pamela Anderson is seeking an annulment, rather than a divorce, from husband Rick Salomon. The actress is seeking to annul the two-month marriage based on fraud. No other details were available, and Anderson’s publicist did not immediately return an e-mail request for comment Tuesday.

In court papers filed in Los Angeles on Friday, Anderson asked the court not to award spousal support and to keep her and Salomon’s income and property separate. On Monday, Anderson filed a request to have a retired judge handle the annulment proceedings — a common practice in celebrity split-ups as it keeps matters private and out of the court.

Anderson and Salomon, both 40, were married Oct. 6 in Las Vegas and separated Dec. 13. He’s best known for making a sex videotape with then-girlfriend Paris Hilton and was previously married to actress Shannen Doherty.

Anderson was previously married to singer Kid Rock and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee.

Brit and Boys: Reunited!

Los Angeles (E! Online) - Reunited and it feels so good for Britney Spears and her boys.

For the first time in nearly two months, the beleaguered pop star had face-to-face contact with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, during a Saturday morning, court-monitored visit, sources confirm to E! News.

The boys, who have primarily resided at Federline’s home in Tarzana since October, were packed into his gray Dodge Viper truck by a bodyguard and shuttled to Spears’ home on the Studio City-Beverly Hills border around 9 a.m.

The visit lasted until noon, at which point the boys were driven back to Federline’s, wearing smiles on their faces.

Aside from Spears and a court-appointed monitor, there were several other key personnel on hand, including: Britney’s father, Jamie Spears; a Federline security guard; and a lawyer from the Luce Forward law firm, which is handling Britney’s conservatorship for Jamie Spears.

According to an insider, the 26-year-old pop star was not permitted to take the boys, ages two and one, into another room without the others watching.

The ground rules for the visitation were hammered out Friday night, by lawyers for Luce Forward and ex-husband Kevin Federline.

"None of this would have happened if Jamie Spears had not been involved. That’s for sure," Federline attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! News Friday. "He gets a lot of credit for helping make this happen. But we’ve worked very hard with the conservator lawyers, as well, to make this all work."

Federline has had sole custody since October, and Spears hadn’t seen Sean and Jayden since Jan. 3, after she refused to allow Federline’s bodyguard to pick up the boys after one of her monitored visits and ended up under observation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The troubled songstress was stripped of her visitation privileges and has only been allowed to contact the boys by phone, but even those conversations have been few and far between, sources tell E! News.

Spears is not slated to see the boys tomorrow, according to a source, and plans to stay home and watch the Oscars in the company of her dad and Adnan Ghalib.

Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins early Friday, making the singer and husband Marc Anthony the parents of a boy and a girl after one of pop music’s most closely watched pregnancies.

Lopez representative Simon Fields told People magazine the babies were born shortly after midnight on New York’s Long Island, with the 5-pound, 7-ounce girl arriving first, followed by her 6-pound brother minutes later. The location was not identified.

"Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon," Fields told the magazine.

Lopez’ publicists and agent did not return telephone calls from The Associated Press early Friday.

Ending months of speculation, Lopez confirmed her pregnancy at a Miami concert in November. Her father, David Lopez, told Telefutura’s "Escandalo TV" earlier this month that the 39-year-old singer was expecting twins.

Lopez and Anthony, 38, married in 2004. The twins are her first children, and his third and fourth.

SAN ANTONIO - Manu Ginobili scored 18 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to an 85-65 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday night in the defending NBA champions’ first home game in more than three weeks.

Michael Finley scored 14 points and Ime Udoka added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the Spurs’ third straight victory. Tim Duncan shot poorly, going just 2-of-12 from the field, but he got five blocks and 15 rebounds.

Raymond Felton led Charlotte with 19 points, Jason Richardson added 13 and Nazr Mohammed scored 12.

The Spurs were sloppy early, committing 18 turnovers in the first three quarters and 21 in the game. But they outscored Charlotte 31-16 in the decisive fourth period.

Still, it was clearly good to be home, where the Spurs have lost just five games this season. Tuesday was the team’s first home game since going on a three-week, nine-game road trip.

The Spurs went 6-3 on the trip, an annual event that happens when the rodeo rolls into town and takes over the AT&T Center.

After a slow first half, both teams picked up the pace in the third quarter. A quick Spurs burst gave them a 44-34 lead off recent addition Damon Stoudamire’s 3-pointer with 9:38 to play in the period.

But the Bobcats answered right back with one of the night’s highlights: Stoudamire turned over the ball, and Felton dished out a nifty over-the-back-pass to Richardson for a slam dunk that sent Ginobili skidding to the floor.

Felton followed with a 3 — after the Spurs turned over the ball yet again — to bring Charlotte within 44-39 with 6:28 to go.

The Spurs stopped the sloppiness and put together a modest run to open the fourth, a 67-55 lead on Bruce Bowen’s corner 3-pointer with 8:18 on the clock. Duncan had three blocks in the last quarter.

Bowen hit another 3, this time from the wing, with 5:36 to play to put San Antonio up by 18 points. The Spurs increased their advantage to as many as 23.

Charlotte led 18-13 after one, the Spurs’ lowest-scoring first quarter of the season. They managed to take a 36-32 halftime lead.

Notes:@ Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said pregame that he might let G Tony Parker play a few minutes, but Parker instead sat out his ninth straight game with an inflamed left ankle. … Felton got a technical foul in the third quarter, and Charlotte’s Jeff McInnis picked one up in the first quarter. … The Spurs celebrated the franchise’s 35th anniversary with a halftime tribute. … The Spurs won the season series 2-0. … Charlotte’s 65 points were the fewest scored by a Spurs opponent this season.
